The apartment facing St Nicholas cathedral is called N1. It is an historical apartment with high ceilings and mouldings, old chimneys, antiques furniture and artworks from all around the world decorates the walls. Most of windows have an amazing view over the Saint Nicholas cathedral and its park. From the balcony in Tatiana’s room you may have your morning coffee and enjoy the panorama from Trotsky cathedral, the canal Griboedova to the St Nicholas park.
Description:
A living room with a sofa bed, a sofa, television with Euro news in russian, stereo with a few classical discs so you can enjoy nice evenings looking at the cathedral and relaxing from the city and jazz music from New Orleans to put you in the right mood in the morning.
(Please handles them with care, merci)
And a large corridor displaying artwork from russian artists and from all around the world.
As part of our project with artists we can put you in contact with painters and visit the art gallery on the basement floor in our building.
The apartment is situated around the corner from the famous Marinsky theatre and we would be happy to organize for you a memorable evening there.
We can also invite a quatuor in your living room to play Mozart , Vivaldi and many other famous compositors. The room has very good acoustics and price is reasonable. We can also cook for you a delicious dinner so you can rest quietly the first evening in your apartment, Russian cuisine only. ( if you are interested we will send you more information)
As part of our concern for the environment we will donate 10 euros from each stay to a project that we support. ( we will send you information so you know where your 10 euros will be used for )
In January 2007 we changed all light bulbs of the building for less energy consuming bulbs.
It is also very important for me that we all live better and this means my neighbours. They didn’t have my chance and I’am happy to offer my talent of organizer and also creation.
The communist system has left our building in very poor conditions. In 2006 I took away the building from the city management so that I could manage it myself with the help of an assistant and lawyers. We have fought for month and continue to do so to obtain what we are entitle to but bureaucratie and corruption do not help.
You may see me making cement to fix a wall or simply coordinating the renovation of main communications.
Thank you for staying with us, it really helps.
You may buy our delicious jams made from fruits collected from“Babouchkas” (it means Grand–mother in Russian) so they make a better living.
Also we have lately had a lot of foreign parents coming to St Petersburg to adopt babies and children. If you have any children clothes or toys please bring them with you and we will donate them or, and you can make a small donation of your last roubles when you leave for the airport. ( at the airport you won’t need them as you pay in euros and dollars at the duty free shop)
We will have a special box in each apartment.
Thank you very much. We will do everything possible so that you want to come back or tell your friend to do so.
Have a wonderful stay in our apartment.

Location: |
 |
The apartment is situated in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by canals. The famous Marinsky theatre and the music academy are around the corner. The Youssoupov palace is also very near and famous places to eat are walking distance from the apartment. ( Information posted in apartments) Just one minute away you have a supermarket open 24 hours with all you need but I prefer to go to the farmers market on Sennaia plochad where you can buy fresh fruits and milk product directly from the farm and caviar by the spoon…. Dostoievsky used to stroll around this area, his favourite neighbourhood. Nevsky avenue and the Ermitage museum are 10mn away by bus or you can walk in about 30mn along the canals. (see transport)
Have a good walk….
